What is a Student Council?
A Student Council is a representative structure for students only, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.

Purpose of the Student Council
The student council promotes students to use their voice in a constitutional manner. This means if a student has a problem or an idea that will improve the school he/she has a means of doing so, this is the student council.

To bring forward a problem or idea to the student council for deliberation; it’s as simple as bringing your issue to your class’ student council representative. Every class has an elected representative in which they can trust to bring their issues up at the next meeting.

Just like in a constitution there are several positions filled by the class representatives. Each position is unique and essential in the running of the student council.
